Pimp Your Work

You can get there from here with remote connection software

by Tris Hussey on January 17th, 2007

Sometimes you just can’t be there.  Sometimes you aren’t at home and you have one of those "oh no" moments.  You forgot something.  A document, a link, an address.  Or you just want to get home and finish up work stuff.  That’s where remote access software comes in.  EdTechPost relies on Hamachi and Unyte, LifeHacker has gushed about CrossLoop and iRemotePC.  Yes, there are commercial options (GoToMyPC comes to mind) but if you’re not doing this often, you might shy away from it.

Oh, one really important thing you need to remember, both machines have to be on and connected to the Net for this to work.  Simple and a no brainer I know, but sometimes you miss (or forget) the obvious.

Tris - a BIG thanks from a small team at CrossLoop for bringing us to your readers!
Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you or your readers have any questions.
I also recommend that your readers stay close to our blog (URL against my name) for new releases and updates. We are getting ready for a new one and it will be done so initially through a private invitation only. If you are interested, please let me know. Thanks.
